Concert-goers could not ask for a better lineup during this night full of rock at Nashville’s historic War Memorial Auditorium. The groups really connected with their audience and had them on their feet dancing in front of the stage to the sweet sounds of their guitars. Alejandro Escovedo, Los Lonely Boys, and Los Lobos even ended up coming together to play some of their classic hits.

Concerts are one of my favorite things to photograph because of the dramatic and colorful lighting. When shooting concerts, look for emotion from the performer whether that be them interacting with the crowd or their facial expressions as they sing or play their instrument. Most venues do not allow flash so the best alternative is using a fast lens (f 2.8 or lower aperture) with high ISOs.
